Arcade

Fedosy Santaella.

A novel by Israel Centeno

Arcade unfolds in a city where entertainment, memory, and surveillance quietly overlap.

At its center is an aging Arcade—once a place of play, now a repository of forgotten routines, abandoned machines, and people who no longer know whether they are passing through or being watched. Inside it, stories surface: a man who returns after years of absence, a system that records more than it should, a past that refuses to stay silent.

As the novel progresses, Arcade becomes more than a location. It functions as a mechanism—one that stores gestures, failures, and repetitions, blurring the line between choice and programming. What appears to be a series of small, personal episodes slowly reveals a wider structure of control, nostalgia, and quiet resistance.

Told in installments, the novel mirrors its subject: fragmented, recursive, and unresolved. Each chapter adds a layer, never the full picture.

Arcade is a story about memory under pressure, about spaces that remember us even when we try to forget them, and about the uneasy feeling that the game may have started long before we noticed.

The first installment is released tomorrow.
The system is already running.
